This vintage is 100% Chardonnay and was hand harvested out of the Button & Turkovich Vineyard early in the morning and pressed within hours at the winery. A long, cool fermentation allowed for flavor development in stainless steel tanks. A very small portion of this wine was separated out for barrel fermentation in one new 500 liter American oak puncheon. Bright aromas of apricot and white peach shine on the nose and are complicated by subtle hints of honey and citrus peel. The wine is full bodied and lush with flavors of stone fruits, vanilla, coconut and a toasty butterscotch finish. This wine pairs nicely with creamy mushroom rissoto.
